Josh Allen Sends A Clear Message About Bills Ahead of Season

Some people are doubting the Buffalo Bills this season, but others still expect them to win the AFC East even without All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded away during the offseason.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen doesn’t seem to be listening to the doubters as their 2024 regular season opener approaches.

He said he’s excited about the group he has to work with and that “the Super Bowl is the No. 1 thing” they want to accomplish, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Diggs was Allen’s main weapon for the past four years, and during that time he made the Pro Bowl and posted more than 1,180 receiving yards and at least eight touchdown catches every season.

But all through last season, there were reports that Diggs was unhappy with the team, and thus he is now a member of the Houston Texans.

In addition, Buffalo lost WR2 Gabriel Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, and their wide receiver room now consists of young prospects Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman, as well as underwhelming veterans Mack Hollins, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Curtis Samuel.

The Bills may need Allen to carry them even more than he has in the past, especially when it comes to his ground game.

He threw for 4,306 yards and 29 touchdowns while running for 524 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, and it will likely take another MVP-type year from him to get Buffalo back to the playoffs.

The Bills have never won a Super Bowl championship, as they got there four years in a row in the 1990s, only to lose each time, and are striving to return for the first time since then.
