The past few seasons haven’t exactly gone to plan for the Detroit Pistons.
Many people thought they were on their way to becoming like the Philadelphia 76ers, trusting a process of their own to get back to a place of relevance.
However, the Pistons haven’t found their groove, and haven’t made the playoffs since the 2018-2019 season.
They do have a few young players that could inspire confidence moving forward, including Jalen Duren.
Duren showed some flashes in his sophomore campaign last year, and judging by a recent photo, he could make an even bigger impact in 2024.
As Courtside Buzz recently showcased on X, Duren has bulked up during the offseason and doesn’t look like someone to be messed with.

At this size, Duren could have his way with defenders in the post, making it difficult for them to guard him, or get past him when he’s the one on defense.
It doesn’t take just one player to turn the Pistons around, and they’re well aware of that.
But, with Duren taking a step in the right direction, it could be an indication of where the rest of his teammates are at.
This could be a new-look Pistons team in the 2024-2025 season, a team that’s hungry and ready to take their game to the next level.
Will the upcoming season be the start of something new for the Motor City-based team?
Or, will they end in another disappointing year, hoping to find better success in the seasons to follow?
