The NFL’s first-ever game on South American soil came with some bizarre news.
The government banned X — formerly known as Twitter — in the days leading to the big game.
Needless to say, that ban on X was a big deal, up to the point where insiders covering the game there had to text their wives so they could tweet for them.
That’s why Philadelphia Eagles star QB Jalen Hurts needed some clarity.
During his press conference after the game, Hurt asked a journalist how he managed to get on X (via NBC Sports Philadelphia).
“How did you get on Twitter?” 😂

Perhaps the Oklahoma product was suffering from a bit of social media withdrawal syndrome, and he may not have been the only one.
Fans on social media weren’t particularly thrilled with the game being in Brazil, complaining about the grass after several players slipped multiple times.
Truth be told, the grass was in top-notch form for sports, but the league and the teams didn’t seem to get the right cleats for players.
The league will reportedly host at least another game in Brazil in the foreseeable future, so teams better take their precautions and do their due diligence the next time.
