SRINAGAR: A four-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack in the Gulshanpora area of Tral, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, on Wednesday.
Officials said that the girl was attacked and taken away by the leopard while she was outside her home in the Gulshanpora area.
The girl’s body was later found in a nearby area after a search operation was launched by the police and locals.
She has been identified as Riyan, daughter of Arshid Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Gulshanpora, Tral.
Meanwhile, locals have urged the wildlife department to capture the fleeing leopard as it poses a threat to human life. (GNS)
