Gilbert Arenas Names His Top-5 QBs

Date:

With the NFL season underway and the NBA season still months away, all eyes are on the gridiron.

Football is the ultimate American hobby, and everybody seems to have an opinion about everything.

Notably, that includes current and former NBA players, who also happen to be diehard football fans for the most part.

With that in mind, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas took some time on his podcast to name his top five quarterbacks in today’s game.

He has Dak Prescott at No. 5, which is perhaps the most controversial choice he made.

The Dallas Cowboys star is coming off an MVP-caliber season and is the highest-paid quarterback of all time, but he still needs to prove himself against winning teams.

Joe Burrow got the nod at No. 4.

The Cincinnati Bengals star has gone toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and is considered by most to be the 1B to his 1A.

Then, he chose Josh Allen.

The Buffalo Bills’ signal-caller is an absolute unit, making the most of his physical threats to impose his will on opposing defenses, and he’s flirted with MVP contention for years now.

Lamar Jackson got the nod at No. 2.

The Baltimore Ravens star has already won two MVPs and he’s not even 30, but he’s left something to be desired in the playoffs.

Unsurprisingly, Patrick Mahomes took the No. 1 spot.

Mahomes has led the Kansas City Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl wins and is on pace to challenge Tom Brady for the most Vince Lombardi trophies in NFL history.
