Zac Taylor Says Key WR Will Return To Practice Today

Everything that could’ve gone wrong for the Cincinnati Bengals to start the season has gone wrong.

Ja’Marr Chase was limited with an illness to start the season, and Tee Higgins wasn’t even able to practice with a hamstring injury.

And with Tyler Boyd following Brian Callahan to the Tennesee Titans, their once-great wide receivers trio was down to just one guy, who wasn’t even at his best.

Joe Burrow has leaned on Andrei Iosivas to start the season, but they clearly need more help.

That’s why it was such positive news to know that Higgins will return to practice today (via Cameron Wolfe).

Coach Zac Taylor confirmed that the star wide receiver would finally practice.

As to whether he’d suit up to play on Monday Night Football vs. the Washington Commanders remains to be seen.

Higgins should also be looking forward to making his season debut.

He starred in a months-long stand off with the organization after being placed under the franchise tag.

The team didn’t even make him another offer for a contract extension, up to the point where he even requested to be traded.

His request wasn’t granted, but most insiders believe he’s a lock to leave the team after this season.

And while he’s already proven that he could be a WR1 if given the opportunity, he needs to put up some big numbers to make sure to maximize his market value once he hits free agency.
