Shannon Sharpe Reacts To Aaron Rodgers’ Performance

Aaron Rodgers is still Aaron Rodgers.

The 40-year-old led the New York Jets past the New England Patriots at home on “Thursday Night Football.”

Rodgers looked like his four-time MVP self as he was 27-for-35 passing for 281 yards and two touchdowns.

Pro Football Hall of Famer and NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe was among those who were impressed by what they saw from the QB.

“Aaron Rodgers looked good. … Now he looks like the Aaron Rodgers that we saw in Green Bay. … His arm is still just as dangerous,” Sharpe said on “Nightcap.”

Sharpe, a teammate of Pro Football Hall of Famer John Elway when the two played for the Denver Broncos, knows all about great quarterback play.

In Week 3, Rodgers showed why he is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.

The Jets offense was in complete command all game long with Rodgers finding eight different receivers in the process.

He really did look like vintage Aaron Rodgers out there as he was able to escape the pocket at times and even ran for a few first downs.

If he plays like that, New York is going to be a difficult opponent for any team remaining on its schedule.

The Jets also ran the ball for 133 yards, and their defense allowed only three points and 139 total yards to the Patriots.

It will be interesting to see how they fare against the more difficult Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills coming up on their schedule.
