Wilson, who also received the 2020 and 2022 MVP trophies, received all 67 first-place votes from the media panel for a total of 670 points. She joins Cynthia Cooper as the only players to be voted unanimous MVP, who accomplished the feat with the Houston Comets in the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997.
Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier (467 points) finished second in the voting, followed by New York free agent Breanna Stewart (295 points), Indiana Fever rookie Kaitlin Caitlin Clark (130 points) and Connecticut Sun standout Alyssa Thomas (83 points).
Players receive 10 points for first place, 7 points for second place, 5 points for third place, 3 points for fourth place, and 1 point for fifth place.
Wilson joins Naismith Hall of Fame members Sheryl Swoopes (2000, 2002, 2005), Lisa Leslie (2001, 2004, 2006) and Lauren Jackson ( Lauren Jackson (2003, 2007, 2010) became the only players to win the award three times.
Wilson, 28, leads the WNBA in points (26.9) and blocks (2.6) and has career highs in rebounds (11.9) and steals (1.8). She is the first player in league history to score 1,000 points in a season.
