Saints Rule Out Key Player Ahead Of Eagles Game

The New Orleans Saints will face their toughest challenge yet on Sunday.

Following blowout wins over the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys, they’ll finally get to meet an apparent Super Bowl contender in the Philadelphia Eagles.

Unfortunately for Dennis Allen, he won’t have his Swiss Army knife out there.

According to a report by Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Taysom Hill won’t be able to suit up for Sunday’s matchup as he continues to deal with a chest injury.

He’s currently listed as doubtful, but Schultz claims he’s very unlikely to play.

Hill sustained the injury late in the win over the Cowboys and had to go to the hospital to get further testing.

While his injury isn’t believed to be major, and the coach claimed he was in good spirits, it seems like they’re going to err on the side of caution with their dynamic playmaker.

Hill is a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy who lines up at full-back, tight end, and even quarterback, and it’ll take a collective effort to replace him.

He reportedly wanted to play, but the team knows how valuable he is and how his versatility allows OC Klint Kubiak to keep defenses guessing when he’s on the field, so they’re taking the right approach here.

The Saints will look to keep the momentum going and get their third win in as many contests, and the Eagles will want to bounce back after blowing a big win over the Atlanta Falcons in primetime last week.
