Stephen A. Smith Calls Out NFL Team, Says ‘You Stink’

The Dallas Cowboys got off to a strong start to the season.

They took the Cleveland Browns on the road and diced their seemingly-great defense apart, with Dak Prescott looking like a legitimate MVP candidate.

Fast forward to today, and that looks more like a product of the Browns and Deshaun Watson’s woes rather than a testament to their greatness.

They’ve dropped back-to-back games and haven’t looked the part at all in the past two weeks.

Things have gotten so ugly that even Dak Prescott and other players have called their teammates out.

Notably, it would not be much of a surprise if you were to ask Stephen A. Smith.

In Monday’s edition of ESPN’s First Take, the controversial pundit claimed that he had told Jerry Jones right to his face that this team wasn’t good enough to compete at the highest level.

He went as far as to say that “they stink” and that “their defense can’t stop a cold.”

Smith thinks that the win in the season opener was nothing more than a smokescreen, and it would be hard to argue with that statement right now.

They trailed by as many as 22 points late in the game vs. the Baltimore Ravens before an unlikely 19-point run in the fourth quarter, and they were never actually in the game vs. the New Orleans Saints.

Things won’t get much easier for Mike McCarthy’s team in the next couple of weeks, and it’s hard to envision them turning this around with the same personnel.
