The 2-1 Detroit Lions have a tough matchup on Monday Night Football in Week 4 against the surprisingly undefeated Seattle Seahawks, who will be looking to get off to a 4-0 start.

The Lions will need to be firing on all cylinders on Monday, and the team has decided to give itself a little added boost in the uniform department to help out.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared on X that the Lions will be wearing their new all-black uniforms with blue helmets on Monday when they take on the Seahawks, and it will be the first time fans get a look at this new ensemble.

The Lions have donned black alternate uniforms in the past, but this is the first time they will wear the new alternates that were unveiled this past offseason.

Even though some fans are making fun of them for looking like the Carolina Panthers, it’s a sharp look, and the Lions will need it since the Seahawks are typically one of the most dapper teams in the league.

It never hurts to put a little more thought into the wardrobe when appearing in a primetime game, and this is the first time Detroit will be wearing black since 2007.

Most importantly, this is the fourth consecutive season these two franchises will meet in the regular season, and the Seahawks are 3-0 against the Lions in the Dan Campbell era.

Maybe some new uniforms are what the Lions need to break up this trend and finally take down one of their toughest opponents.
