While there’s plenty to be excited about, one position group has raised some eyebrows: the tight ends.
The Packers are banking on young talent to step up, with second-year players Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft showing flashes of potential.
However, their inexperience could become a liability in crucial moments, potentially holding back the offense when it matters most.
But the Packers aren’t sitting idle. In a move to bolster depth, they’ve brought back a familiar face.
KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports that Green Bay has re-signed tight end Messiah Swinson to their practice squad.

Swinson, a towering 6-foot-7, 259-pound rookie from Arizona State, initially joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in April.
After a stint on their practice squad, he briefly caught on with the Carolina Panthers’ active roster in early September.
However, his time in Carolina was short-lived, as the Panthers released him Tuesday without any game appearances.
The Packers’ interest in Swinson isn’t surprising. Head coach Matt LaFleur’s offensive scheme often relies heavily on multiple tight end sets.
But injuries and inconsistent play have hampered this strategy so far this season.
Swinson’s return suggests he left a positive impression during summer workouts.
The Packers are clearly hoping to develop this former Missouri and Arizona State standout, even if it takes some time.
With his imposing frame and raw potential, Swinson could provide valuable depth and perhaps even contribute down the line.
