Analyst Says 1 QB Has ‘Regressed’

The Philadelphia Eagles are supposed to be a Super Bowl contender, but they don’t look like one right now.

Even in the wins, Nick Sirianni’s team has left something to be desired.

And while the head coach deserves plenty of the blame for the state of his team, his quarterback hasn’t been that great, either.

Former NFL QB Chase Daniel believes Jalen Hurts has regressed quite a bit.

More importantly, he thinks that Hurts doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing out there, especially in the red zone.

Talking on Monday’s edition of The Facility, Daniel stated that while the loss of Jason Kelce is a big blow, Hurts looks hesitant and out of rhythm.

He has not played up to the level that was expected from him when he signed that big contract extension, and that season is starting to look more like an outlier than the norm.

Granted, not having your two star wide receivers out there hurts the offense, but as Daniel pointed out, he’s still 3-9 in his last 12 games with his stars.

Daniel believes that Saquon Barkley is the best running back in the game, and that is the reason why they’re 2-2 and not 1-3 or 0-4. In all honesty, it’s hard to disagree with that.

There was plenty of doubt and concern about Jalen Hurts before his breakout season.

And now that the years have gone by, it’s becoming painfully evident that that season may have been his peak, and he might not be the top-tier quarterback they thought he was.
