Caleb Williams, the talented rookie quarterback for the Chicago Bears, has been a big topic of discussion across the NFL this year.
While he has shown glimpses of what he could become, overall, he has struggled, especially with turnovers and his accuracy.
On Sunday, he led the Bears to a win over the Los Angeles Rams and completed 17 of 23 pass attempts, but he still has a long way to go before he reaches the potential people feel he has.
In fact, Chris Broussard said on Fox Sports 1’s “First Things First” that Williams is the Bears’ “weak link” right now and that if he was really good right now, they would be a Super Bowl contender.

Broussard did give Williams a bit of praise by saying he was a “nice little game manager” in Week 4, but of course, in order to become a championship contender, an NFL team needs a starting quarterback who is much more than a game manager.
At the University of Southern California, Williams put up gaudy numbers and was lauded for his ability to make plays off-script, but doing so at the next level is a lot more difficult against the best defenses in the world.
Through four games, Williams has completed 61.7 percent of his pass attempts and thrown for 787 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions, but on Sunday, he did not have an interception, although he did have a fumble.
Chicago is blessed with three bona fide wide receiver threats in Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore and rookie Rome Odunze, and one has to wonder what they will look like if and when Williams becomes his best self.
