Tyreek Hill Gives Honest Thoughts On Tyler Huntley

The Miami Dolphins’ hopes for a successful season took a major turn for the worse when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered the third diagnosed concussion of his NFL career in a Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills.

That meant backup Skylar Thompson took over under center, but Thompson then suffered an injury to his ribs, so Tyler “Snoop” Huntley started in Week 4.

Though the Dolphins lost 31-12 to the Tennessee Titans on “Monday Night Football,” star wide receiver Tyreek Hill said Huntley was very prepared for the contest and will be much better going forward.

“Snoop is awesome. For him to be here for three weeks and for him to be prepared the way he was prepared for that Monday night game — in my book — that’s trending upwards because our offense is so complicated,” Hill said, via FinsXtra.

Huntley completed 14 of 22 pass attempts but for just 96 yards, although he did add 40 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Hill had just four catches for 23 yards, and overall, Miami’s offense has been frigid without Tagovailoa.

They have scored a total of 25 points in their three games without him, and although they will face the struggling New England Patriots in Week 5, they must rectify this problem, no matter who is under center.

So far this season, Hill’s numbers are well below where they usually are, as he has just 217 yards and one touchdown through four games.

He’s averaging only 54.3 yards per game, which is his lowest output in that category since his rookie season of 2016 with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last season, Hill flirted with the NFL single-season record for receiving yards before an ankle injury slowed him down late in the schedule.
