JAMMU: A sepoy from the Indian Army died by suicide in the Mendhar area of Poonch district on Saturday.
As per reports, the incident occurred when the sepoy, shot himself with his service weapon. The soldier has been identified as Manish Bisht, son of Puran Singh, a resident of Kafra in Almora, Uttarakhand.
They said the sepoy was stationed at Behroote Balakote and died on the spot due to the self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Moreover, police have taken up the investigation. (NVI)
