Baramulla College, ITI to Close for Vote Counting

SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Baramulla has announced the suspension of classes at Government Degree College Boys Baramulla and Government ITI Baramulla on October 7 and 8, in preparation for the vote counting of the assembly elections

Vote counting will take place on 8th October at Showkat Ali Stadium, Khawajabagh.

The suspension of classes is to ensure the smooth conduct of vote counting and maintain order. An official statement explained that clearing the campuses is necessary for logistical and security reasons.

Parking arrangements for vehicles involved in the vote counting process have been made at locations including FCI Godown, DIC Complex Baramulla, and ITI Baramulla (Kralhar). Transportation will be available to ferry counting staff and political agents to and from the stadium.

The Deputy Commissioner’s Office highlighted that security arrangements are being coordinated with the police and transport departments. The Sr. Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, will oversee security during the vote counting, which will involve political representatives, media, and staff.
