Once again, the Brooklyn Nets have been without Ben Simmons for most of the season, but his return could be imminent.

Simmons has been sidelined since November 8 because of a lower back nerve injury.

But after a lengthy time away, Simmons is now listed as probable for Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Billy Reinhardt recently said that Simmons is “working his way back” to the team, noting how the former Rookie of the Year posted a video on social media showing him practicing on the court.

Simmons showed some promising signs during the six games he played this season.

He averaged 6.5 points per game, which wasn’t an amazing number.

However, his 10.8 rebounds were encouraging, as were his 6.7 assists.

More importantly, Simmons seemed to be moving well and didn’t appear as fearful as he had been last year.

Sadly, fans only got a small taste of Simmons before yet another injury dragged him out of the rotation.

There are a lot of questions surrounding Simmons and his Nets.

Now that this latest injury is behind him, can Simmons play like the former All-Star he is?

And can the Nets work their way out of the hole they are in?

There is no doubt that Brooklyn has several impressive young stars on the roster but they also hold a feeble 18-27 record and are 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Will the addition of Simmons get them back on track and earn them a spot in the playoffs or Play-In Tournament?

Simmons hasn’t lived up to expectations since joining the Nets and now is the time for him to show fans what he is capable of.
