The 2024 NFL season will be the first without Bill Belichick on the sidelines in decades, as the six-time Super Bowl champion did not land any of the eight head coaching jobs that opened up this offseason.

A recent report indicates that Belichick has an interest in returning in 2025 after a year off, and Colin Cowherd listed a potential landing spot for him that would be truly spicy.

On a recent episode of “The Herd,” Cowherd mentioned the Buffalo Bills as a possible new home for Belichick.

“You don’t think he wants to face the Patriots twice a year and rub it in Robert Kraft’s face?” Cowherd said.

Cowherd also mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys as other potential suitors for Belichick, and all three would provide him with a team good enough to compete for a championship.

However, all three also are heading into pivotal seasons that could push them toward making some tough decisions next offseason if things don’t go according to plan, and all three have a head coach who’s rumored to be on the hot seat.

The Bills have been great for a few years now but haven’t been able to get over the hump and reach a Super Bowl under head coach Sean McDermott. They notably are 0-3 in the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs during Josh Allen’s tenure as the starting quarterback.

After so much time coaching the New England Patriots, Belichick’s pettiness is undeniable and his disdain for division rivals is unparalleled.

So, it would not be a shock to see him take over in Buffalo just so he can stick it to the Pats and New York Jets twice a year.
