Draymond Green Has An Honest Admission About Making Playoffs

For the first time in several years, the Golden State Warriors weren’t part of the recent NBA playoffs.

But according to a new interview featuring Draymond Green, that may not have been a bad thing.

Speaking to Club 520, per BASKETBALL ON X, Green said that if his team isn’t going all the way to the Finals, he doesn’t want to waste his time.

“At no point are they going to hear like, ‘Yo, fellas we got to make the playoffs.’ Like, don’t waste my time… We trying to win championship, that’s the talk. But making the playoffs that’s some Indiana Pacers talk,” Green said.

Green has made it very clear that he wants to win the Finals or go home.

If his team doesn’t have a chance at competing for another title, he’d much rather just take the summer off.

This all-or-nothing thinking might be smart in some ways and could lead to Green and his teammates being more competitive, but it will certainly rub some people the wrong way.

To certain fans, it sounds like Green doesn’t play his hardest if the chance of a championship is slipping away.

Others will take offense at him throwing the Indiana Pacers under the bus.

That up-and-coming team is getting better but Green decided to poke fun at them, even though they reached the Eastern Conference Finals last season while Green’s Warriors didn’t even make the postseason.

Green wants to get to the Finals next season and he’s not alone: his teammates and Warriors fans also wish to see Golden State go all the way.
