The 2023 NFL Draft provided many surprises, as many players headed to destinations that weren’t necessarily projected during the pre-draft process.

Anthony Richardson went to the Indianapolis Colts at No. 4, a move that received mixed reviews from the NFL community.

Regardless of how Richardson performs in 2023 and beyond, there is one undisputed fact.

As the NFL on CBS has recently highlighted, Richardson is the youngest projected starting quarterback ahead of the 2023 season.

There is a 19-year gap between Richardson and Aaron Rodgers, who are represented as the oldest and youngest quarterbacks in the league.

Richardson is also a year younger than C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young, both of whom were drafted before him this year.

Whether Richardson succeeds in the NFL remains to be seen.

He was profiled as one of the most athletic quarterbacks in NFL Draft history, but many are unsure of his ability to succeed in the league.

The Colts have been in desperate need of a franchise leader since the departure of Andrew Luck.

Will Richardson’s play-style be able to fit the Colts’ offensive scheme, considering how different it is from their typical brand of football?

While the Colts have one of the league’s best offensive lines, they aren’t necessarily used to a quarterback that is prone to take off on the run.

With any luck, Richardson will be able to fill this role nicely, bringing the Colts out of their playoff slump.
