Foo Fighters Share New Song “Under You”: Stream


Foo Fighters return with ‘Under You’, second track of their upcoming album But here we are. Listen to the single below.

While lead single (and song of the week) “Rescued” understandably has a ballady emotive soundtrack, “Under You” explodes with lilting, power-pop guitars. Still, it’s clear the song is Dave Grohl’s vehicle for dealing with grief. As he scrolled through “photos of us sharing songs and cigarettes,” the frontman admitted:

“Sometimes I need someone / Sometimes I feel like I have no one / Sometimes I just don’t know what to do,” he sings. “There are days I don’t remember / Some days last forever / Someday I’ll come out from under you.”

Before hitting the road, however, Foo Fighters will feature a variety of warm-up shows in the form of a global streaming event vice-president Sunday, May 21 at 3pm ET. Dubbed “Foo Fighters: Getting Music in Concert,” the event promises premiere performances of songs from But Here We Are, as well as “exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and a few surprises” — all filmed at the band’s 606 Studios.
