The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be an interesting team to watch during the upcoming 2024 NFL season with talented pieces to compete, though they play in arguably the most difficult division in the league.

The AFC North is home to the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, three teams that are also expected to compete for a postseason spot.

Pittsburgh might find it tough to earn enough wins to qualify for the playoffs, though no one is counting out a team led by head coach Mike Tomlin.

The Steelers offense should look much better after the team signed quarterback Russell Wilson and traded for Justin Fields this offseason, and the defense remains stout, on paper.

Pass rusher T.J. Watt will once again be in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year as he’s a menace along the edge, while the rest of the defense looks improved.

Pittsburgh recently hosted its annual Friday Night Lights practice, and former NFL superstar J.J. Watt noted how special the event is.

“This is an awesome tradition. Great for the fans. Great for the players. Can’t beat it,” Watt tweeted of his brother’s team.

The Friday Night Lights practice is one of the most unique events of the preseason, with the Steelers practicing in front of thousands of fans at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.

It’s a tradition like no other in the NFL, and one that former stars like J.J. Watt can appreciate, as it gives players and teams the chance to truly entertain their fan base.
