Nick Wright Makes A Surprising Prediction About The Bears

The Chicago Bears have not won a Super Bowl title since 1985 when legendary head coach Mike Ditka led the charge with an elite defense, a superstar running back in Walter Payton and a mediocre quarterback in Jim McMahon.

Needless to say, it was Payton and the defense that got Chicago over the hump and paved the way for the team to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the first and only time in the team’s history.

Outside of a trip to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman under center in 2007, Chicago has had little success, especially when it comes to bringing in and developing talented quarterbacks, which seems to be the franchise’s Achilles heel.

Fortunately for Chicago, the team may finally see some light at the end of the tunnel, as they were able to draft USC superstar Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick and then also bring in wide receiver Rome Odunze, setting up what could be a bright future offensively.

Nick Wright of FOX Sports has been so impressed by what the Bears have done this offseason that he thinks Chicago could win the NFC during the upcoming 2024 NFL season via First Things First.

“At some point, a rookie quarterback is going to get to the Super Bowl. If it’s going to happen, it would look a lot like this,” Wright said.

Wright is known for his bold and questionable takes, and this is definitely one of them, as he believes a rookie quarterback and an organization known more for its failures than successes is going to go the distance, which is wild.

Even though the Bears should be a better all-around football team in 2024, going to the Super Bowl is a stretch, to say the least.
