Peter Gabriel kicked off his 2023 “i/o tour” in Krakow, Poland on Thursday night, marking the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s first tour since 2014. The first full solo concert, while offering an extensive preview of his upcoming tenth LP, input Output.
In addition to Gabriel’s most famous hits, such as “Sledgehammer”, “Don’t Give Up” and “Big Time”, the two sets also brought fans more than a dozen new songs and arrangements. input Output The singles “Panopticom,” “The Court,” “Four Kinds of Horses” and the title track as well as several previously unheard album cuts and an as-yet-untitled composition dedicated to his late mother by Gabriel.
The former Genesis frontman wrapped up a major part of the show with his 1977 debut solo single “Solsbury Hill,” but returned twice to reprise the perennial crowd-pleaser “In Your Eyes” and 1980’s Protest The song “Biko”. input Output There is currently no official release date or tracklist, though Gabriel has previously shared that he will drop a new single every full moon in 2023.Long-awaited LP will be his first new album since 2002 up.
