Dennis Rodman spent some time with the Los Angeles Lakers toward the end of his career, playing alongside greats like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.
Speaking on his podcast, O’Neal told a wild tale about his time with Rodman.
He said the five-time NBA champion should show up just prior to tip-off and wouldn’t pay attention to team meetings before games.
According to O’Neal, Rodman would then “get you 25 rebounds” before throwing on his clothes without showering and linking with some of the most attractive women at the club.
O’Neal, who was a known partier himself, was shocked and somewhat jealous by the way that Rodman handled himself.
“He’ll come out..get you 25 rebounds, stanking like a ********, put his clothes on and go to the club.”

During his 14 years in the NBA, Rodman was one of the most unique and enigmatic figures playing.
He was one of the most talented players in the league and was a rebounding machine.
It didn’t matter if he was playing for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, or Los Angeles Lakers, Rodman could do a lot and put up some amazing defense.
But he didn’t make headlines solely for what he did during games.
Instead, Rodman was also a public figure because of his off-court antics and his many appearances at the club, in Vegas, and beyond.
He was a star both in the league and on tabloid pages and this story from O’Neal proves why.
Rodman’s talent was so natural that he didn’t have to think about it often.
He just had to show up and walk onto the court and the rest happened without effort.
Many times, he was more focused on the fun he’d have after the game rather than scoring a victory.
O’Neal’s story is further proof that there will definitely never be another NBA star like Rodman.
