After flying past the Green Bay Packers to start the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Atlanta Falcons on “Monday Night Football.”

Though the Falcons looked anemic in a Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, they should be considered a legitimate threat, as they’re still the betting favorites to finish first in the NFC South.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, they could be without one of their main offensive weapons, as wide receiver A.J. Brown was added to the injury report with a hamstring ailment, according to EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The three-time Pro Bowler makes up one-half of what many consider the NFL’s best wide receiver tandem along with DeVonta Smith.

Brown had five receptions and led the Eagles with 119 receiving yards while scoring a touchdown in Week 1, and he’s coming off a season when he caught 106 passes for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns.

Without him, Philadelphia could be at a disadvantage against a revitalized Atlanta defense that features newcomers Matthew Judon and Justin Simmons.

Fortunately for the Eagles, they now have running back Saquon Barkley, a true dual threat who scored three touchdowns, ran for 109 yards and made two catches for 23 yards in Week 1.

Smith, who, like Brown, surpassed 1,000 receiving yards last season, figures to be even more involved in the offense should Brown sit out, as would Jahan Dotson, who had one target and no catches in his Eagles debut.
