There was a lot of talk about the Buffalo Bills in the offseason, mostly negative.

Pundits and talking heads didn’t seem to be so high on Sean McDermott’s team, with most of them claiming that their Super Bowl window might be closing, if not closed already.

Fast forward to today, and with the Bills sitting on a convincing 2-0 record, there’s been a major shift in the sentiment about this team.

That includes Stephen A. Smith.

When asked about whether the Houston Texans or the Buffalo Bills were the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC, Smith gave Josh Allen and company the nod.

Talking on First Take, he praised him for the way he’s playing and the way he can get any offense going, all while James Cook is also doing his thing on the ground.

He was also impressed with their defense and the way they contained the Miami Dolphins’ offense, even when Tua Tagovailoa was on the field.

He admitted to being a little disappointed with the Texans’ offense vs. the Chicago Bears.

And while it’s still early in the season, he’s liked the Bills a little more and has plenty of faith in what Josh Allen could do.

Smith pointed out that Allen loves going against Patrick Mahomes and will always show up and show out when he faces him.

This time, Bills fans will hope to finally get past their nemesis after being on the wrong end of some heartbreaking losses in the playoffs.
