Bobby Cox was one of the most legendary and successful managers in the history of Major League Baseball.
He began his managerial career at the age of 37 with the Atlanta Braves back in 1978.
He managed the team until 1981 and later took the job with the Toronto Blue Jays before returning to the Braves in 1990.
Cox managed the team until 2010, when he stepped away from the role.
But Cox was one of the most successful and well-rounded managers the game of baseball has ever seen.
Today is a special day for the Hall-of-Fame manager, as he celebrates his 82nd birthday.
On Twitter, the National Baseball Hall of Fame wished Cox a happy birthday.

From 1991-2005, Cox led the Braves to 14 consecutive NL East titles.
He guided them to the World Series in 1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, and 1999, winning his first and only title as a manager in 1995.
From then on, the Braves only finished under .500 twice.
In 2006, the team finished with a 79-83 record.
The team went 72-90 in 2008.
But Cox had the pleasure of managing several of the greatest players in Braves history, such as Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, John Smoltz, Jermaine Dye, Fred McGriff, Marquis Grissom, Tom Glavine, and others.
In addition to his five National League pennants, Cox won four Manager of the Year Awards.
He was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a manager in 2014, four years after handing managerial duties over to Fredi Gonzalez.
The Braves have remained a successful franchise, but they experienced much of their success under Cox during his time at the helm.
