The Marshall Project’s Inside Story Video Series Returns for Season Two


timeThe Marshall Project's “Inside Stories,” an innovative video series that brings critical criminal justice news to audiences inside and outside prisons, returns for a second season with an in-depth look at health care in prisons and jails, correctional staffing shortages and the challenges facing prisons . Solve a murder in an American city.

The six-episode series will also feature insightful interviews with prominent changemakers in policy, social justice and entertainment, including actor Common and comedian Donnell Rollins. Rapper G. Dep spoke exclusively with host Lawrence Bartley just days after being released from prison.

Co-created by Bartley and Donald Washington Jr., both of whom worked on the Marshall Project and were themselves incarcerated, “Inside Story” brings TMP's impactful account of the criminal justice system and investigative journalism brought to the incarcerated as well as those outside prison, as well. In addition to stories built around TMP's original reporting and stories from its partners, the program includes animated first-person essays, explanations and more.

Beginning September 26, 2024, each episode will be available every Thursday at 11 a.m. ET on the Marshall Project website and YouTube channel.
