The New York Giants are finally in the win column as they upset the Cleveland Browns on the road on Sunday 21-15.

According to Pro Football Focus, the two most impressive rookie performances of the weekend in the entire NFL came from two Giants players in that game.

Cornerback Andru Phillips (80.2) and wide receiver Malik Nabers (80.1) proved once again on Sunday that they both have bright NFL futures.

Starting with Phillips, the third-round pick out of Kentucky only played seven snaps before going down with a calf injury.

However, he has allowed just seven receptions for 28 yards in three games while in coverage.

Time will tell to see if he can try to get back to being 100% healthy before this Thursday’s game against the rival Dallas Cowboys.

With Nabers, head coach Brian Daboll might have the best, young wide receiver in the game.

After catching 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown a week prior, the first-round rookie from LSU reeled in eight passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns against what was supposed to be an elite Browns defense.

With former star running back Saquon Barkley having moved on to the rival Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, the Giants needed to identify another great skill-position player.

So far, Nabers looks the part as he has become the focal point on offense for veteran quarterback Daniel Jones and head coach Brian Daboll.

With the Giants taking center stage on Thursday night in a rivalry game, it could be a great opportunity for Nabers to continue his great play forward.
