Before we officially head into the weekend, which marks Week 5 of the college football season, Week 4 of the NFL season, and the final weekend of the MLB regular season, we're rolling out Friday's sports highlights featuring tantalizing college football games as title.

Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Tech Hokies

The Miami Hurricanes have been dominant this season, thanks to their quarterback Cam Ward. He had over 1,400 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes, but there's no denying they played some easy games. They opened the season against Florida State (an SEC program), but since then have played Florida A&M, Ball State and South Florida.

Here, they take on the Hokies, who are allowing just 160 passing yards per game (28th).

The Hokies certainly haven't played the way they want to through their first four games of the season, though. They lost to Vanderbilt and lost at home to Rutgers, finishing with a 2-2 record.

That said, quarterback Kyron Drones has dual-threat ability and Miami wants to slow things down. He had over 200 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

The Hurricanes defense looked frenetic, but again, the level of competition didn't really go there.

This is the first real ACC test for Ward and the Hurricanes.

I thought they got the win at home, but the Hokies kept it within 19. 19 passes were completed.

Fun fact: Ward and DeLongs are cousins.

Top pick: Virginia Tech +19.5 (-110) at DraftKings

Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Tech Hokies

Martinez has had a strange start to the season. Through the first four games, he has 40 carries for 190 yards (4.8 yards per carry) and four rushing touchdowns.

That said, when you look at his game log, you'll see that he's been barely used over the past two weeks.

In Week 3 against Ball State, he had three carries for 3 yards. In Week 4, he rushed 11 times for 31 yards against South Florida.

The Hurricanes beat Ball State so there was no need to really use him, and even in a blowout win over South Florida he had 11 rushes but didn't muster much production.

I think something has changed here. The Hokies are great against the passing game, and while they won't completely slow Ward down, the Hurricanes know they can get after them.

This season, the Hokies are giving up an average of 181 rushing yards per game (103rd). They also allowed eight rushing touchdowns this season, which ranked sixth nationally.

Martinez should have a big game here.

Rutgers University vs University of Washington

Coached at Defensively focused Greg SchianoRutgers once again struggled against the passing game, allowing just 134.7 yards through the air. They also allowed just one passing touchdown.

Here they will take on Washington and their quarterback Will Rogers. Rodgers completed 75.7 percent of his passes for 1,048 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions. However, he averaged just 7.2 yards per attempt.

Washington State plays Weber State, Eastern Michigan, Washington State and Northwestern this season. They played an easy game but lost at home to Washington State. Rutgers cornerback Eric Rogers has just four catches for 50 yards this season. He had an interception and was the player Rodgers needed to find before every pass.

Wisconsin's offense stalled on the road against a well-coached Rutgers, falling to 3-2.

Top Pick: Rutgers ML by DraftKings (-135)
