Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will speak at the National Association of Business Economists' annual meeting in Nashville on Monday.
The central bank chairman is delivering his assessment of the economy as well as his policy views.
Following the speech, Powell will moderate a discussion with Ellen Zentner, global head of thematic and macro investing at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
The speech came less than two weeks after the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee approved cutting its key overnight borrowing rate by half a percentage point, the first rate cut in more than four years. The market expects the Federal Reserve to further cut interest rates this year and 2025 depending on the direction of economic data.
