Lamar Jackson Sounds Off About Betting Parlays

The Baltimore Ravens are 2-2 on the season.

They’ve played much better than one could tell from their record, but this is a game of inches.

They’re coming off their best performance of the season, taking down the red-hot Buffalo Bills at home to make a big statement.

With that in mind, Lamar Jackson wanted to make one thing loud and clear: He doesn’t care about parlays.

The defending MVP is clearly fed up with the fans constantly taking to social media to either urge him to do something or call him out when their bets don’t hit (via BR_Betting).

He stated that this was a team sport and that all he cared about was winning football games.

He doesn’t care if he throws for 300 yards but his team loses, in the same way that he doesn’t care if he only throws for 50 yards and they win.

Truth be told, all the sports betting talk on social media is getting a little out of hand.

With the prominence of sportsbooks and all the advertising, the fans are getting way too chirpy with players on social media.

Professional athletes care about their stats and their numbers, but at the end of the day, they’re not out there to help people cash their tickets; they have a job to do.

The moment they start caring about people’s fantasy football teams or making parlays hit is when the integrity of the game will be compromised for good.

Hopefully, we’ll never reach that point.
