Voter Turnout Exceeds 56 Percent in Jammu and Kashmir Polls by 3 PM

SRINAGAR: An overall poll percentage of 56.01 percent was recorded by 3:00 PM across all 40 assembly constituencies in seven districts of JK, as communicated by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, JK.

Today’s turnout is expected to increase the overall poll percentage, as traditional vote bastions, including the border areas of Kupwara, Gurez, and Karnah, are going to the polls today.

Earlier, the first phase recorded a polling percentage of 61.38 percent, while the second phase saw 59.11 percent voting in JK. The Srinagar district recorded the lowest percentage at 27% across eight seats.
