The NFL world is buzzing after news broke on Tuesday that Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams asked to be traded.

This news came after Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce reportedly liked a social media post that suggested that the team trade Adams.

Reportedly, the Raiders would be willing to move on from the six-time Pro Bowler if they receive a second-round draft pick in return.

Milwaukee Bucks star guard Damian Lillard seemed amazed at Las Vegas’ reported price for Adams, per Bleacher Report.

“If the Raiders trade Tae for a da** 2nd round pick I’m done,” Lillard posted.

Lillard, who is a native of Oakland, Calif. and a Raiders fan, would know something about asking to be traded, as that was exactly what he did last offseason.

He made it known that his preferred destination was the Miami Heat, but after many weeks of speculation, the Portland Trail Blazers sent him to the Bucks at the end of the summer.

It was thought at the time that perhaps the Bucks would emerge as NBA Finals favorites, but they instead sputtered and lost in the first round of the playoffs.

The way the Raiders are going, they would be lucky to even make the playoffs this winter.

They have a sizable hole at the quarterback position, their running game is weak and they have some holes on defense.

Adams got used to winning as a member of the Green Bay Packers a few years ago, and he could turn a team into legitimate contenders if the Raiders let him go, either by the trade deadline or this offseason.
