Dolphins Lose 1 Key Player For Season

The 2024 NFL season has not gone as planned for the Miami Dolphins, with injuries taking a toll on a team that many believed could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Everything started to trend in the wrong direction after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in the second game of the season against the Buffalo Bills, resulting in a blowout loss and the beginning of the end for a once-potent offense.

The Dolphins have not been able to rebound from Tagovailoa’s injury, with backup quarterbacks not getting the job done and things getting worse and worse from week to week.

Following the loss to the Bills, the floodgates opened, as Miami has lost three games in a row, with the most recent to the Tennessee Titans proving costly, with linebacker Jaelan Phillips going down with a knee injury.

Phillips took to social media to announce that he would miss the rest of the season because he needs surgery, via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Even though Phillips has been a promising young player for the Dolphins, the 25-year-old hasn’t been able to stay healthy, as this will be the second straight season that will come to an end because of an injury (a torn Achilles last November).

Obviously, this isn’t great news for the Dolphins, who are already dealing with a season spiraling out of control after just four games. There’s no telling where Miami goes from here, but things certainly aren’t looking good.
