Dallas Cowboys starting wide receiver Brandin Cooks will not play in Sunday's game against Pittsburgh and could miss more games due to a right knee infection, ESPN reported Wednesday.

According to ESPN, Cook suffered an infection in his knee after undergoing medical surgery in New York after the Cowboys defeated the Giants 20-15 last Thursday.

In four starts for the Cowboys (2-2), Cooks has nine receptions on 19 targets for 91 yards and one touchdown.

In his first season with Dallas in 2023, he caught 54 passes for 657 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games (15 starts).

Cooks, 31, has caught 693 passes for 9,364 yards and 58 scores in 152 games (139 starts) with five teams since 2014. , in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a 2024 sixth-round pick.
