Tesla More than 27,000 Cybertrucks will be recalled due to delays in rearview camera images that can impair driver visibility and increase the risk of collisions, the company said on Thursday, adding that a software update would fix the problem.
The recall affects most Cybertrucks in the U.S. and is the largest among electric trucks. Tesla issued a recall in April for a loose gas pedal and another recall in June for windshield wiper and exterior trim issues.
The electric vehicle maker started delivering the Cybertruck in November 2023, after a two-year delay due to production issues and battery supply constraints. As of now, Tesla has not disclosed Cybertruck production or delivery numbers.

Issues with the model are closely watched by investors as Tesla invests significant resources in its development.
The automaker said Thursday that the Cybertruck system in affected vehicles may not be able to complete the shutdown process before receiving a start command, causing a delay in rearview image display.
Tesla said in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report that the image may not appear for two seconds after the vehicle is reversed, and the display may go blank for six to eight seconds while the vehicle is in reverse.
The company said it discovered the issue early last month and that all Cybertrucks currently in production have received a software fix.
