Voidz is back “Dragon Prophecy” Their first new song in two years. Please listen to the content below.
“Prophecy of the Dragon” features guitar riffs, vocoder interludes, and some classic Julian Casablancas vocals, putting typical elements of The Voidz’s sound in a sinister setting. There are moments of easing — when the harmonies open up and ethereal arpeggios swirl around — but when you reach the climactic guitar melody and harmonic tension, the song evokes the fire and passion of its namesake.
“The song begins with a very simple question: How would you feel if God whispered in your ear, ‘You are my greatest creation’?” the band said in a statement. “What does that feel like? What’s its bass line? And just like that, (guitarist, Jerami) Beardo blows the conch shell of the Voidz, and we gather where the previous mission was called. Response? From In the fiery bones of eternity, the voice of the dragon awakens after waiting thousands of years to spout impertinent sonic fists in the form of a new pirate song in which nothing seems so, nor the other way around: Dragon’s Prophecy .”
The release comes just two weeks after Daft Punk shared the previously unannounced collaboration “Infinity Repeating (2013) Demo” with Casablancas and The Voidz.Although it was recorded ten years ago, it has become the signature of the French electronic duo final music video when it debuted with the 10th anniversary remake random access memory earlier this month.
Next month, The Voidz will appear at the 2023 Primavera Sound festivals in Barcelona and Madrid.Then, from June 14th to 17th, they will be in San Francisco Four nights sold out In the Great American Music Hall.
The Voidz haven’t released a new full length album since 2018 virtue. Their 2021 Single “Alien Crime Lord” Plays on Radio Stations in Casablancas grand theft auto 5. In 2019, they shared the Mac Demarco-produced singles “The Way of Eternity” and “All I Can Do”.
