Phoebe Bridgers Re-Releases “Waiting Room” for Charity: Stream

Phoebe Bridgers at Band Campwith all proceeds going to charity Music Will.

years ago stranger in the alps and Punisher What made her indie song famous, “Waiting Room” has all the hallmarks of Bridgers’ ballad writing (“If you were the waiting room, I’d never go to the doctor / I’d sit with my first aid kit There’s blood in there,” she sings). The track first appeared in 2015 on a compilation organized by California studio Lost Ark, which was removed from Spotify earlier this year.

Luckily, the song is now on Bandcamp, and if fans choose to purchase the song, proceeds will go to Music Will, a music education nonprofit. As the largest music nonprofit in the United States, the program provides teacher training to promote music programs across the country.

Earlier this month, Bridgers went into the vault with her longtime collaborator, arranger Rob Moose, to recreate her song “Wasted.” She also appears on Arlo Parks’ new song “Pegasus.”

Bridgers to hit the road with boygenius all summer; tickets on sale now here.
