Tommy Henry pitched seven innings with two hits, Christian Walker homered, Arizona Diamondbacks beat Colorado Rockies 6-0 at Phoenix on Wednesday night

Pavin Smith, Corbin Carroll and Jack McCarthy each had two hits for Arizona, which has won four straight.

Nolan Jones, Brenton Doyle and Alan Trejo had their only three hits for Colorado, which has lost three straight and started a seven-game road trip.

Henry’s seven-inning start tied the longest start in his short career. He also went seven innings against Pittsburgh on Aug. 9, 2022, his second career start.

He ran the bases in that game and earned his first major league win, and he was even better on Wednesday.

Henry gave up the starting single to Doyle in the third inning, and two runners were on base in no time, with no outs. He lured a double grounder from Austin Wynns and ended the threat with a grounder from Randal Grichuk.

The only other hit Henry allowed was a double by Jones in the fifth.

Henry (3-1) walked two hitters and his ERA dropped from 4.50 to 3.73.
