Apple shares on pace for record high ahead of VR headset unveiling

apple Shares of the company were on track to hit record highs on Monday as the company prepares to unveil a slew of new updates and products at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, including a much-anticipated mixed reality headset.

Shares of the company rose about 1% to $182.53 in premarket trading on Monday, above an all-time high set on Jan. 3, 2022. Apple shares are up more than 39% so far this year, while the Nasdaq is up about 26.5% over the same period.

According to reports, Apple’s headphones will feature high-definition screens in front of users’ eyes. But it also lets users see and interact with the real world through a high-performance camera mounted on the device, a trick sometimes called pass-through or mixed reality.

Apple’s new headphones will mark a new investment in a technology that is full of fantasies.

When Facebook changed its name Yuan In October 2021, it drew attention to VR and virtual world headsets.But since then, sales of existing VR headsets have underperformed and usage has declined worse and the expected explosion of successful VR software companies not yet reality.

Shares of Meta fell 1% in premarket trading on Monday.
