The Denver Nuggets silenced their critics and did what some thought was impossible: Winning an NBA championship.

There was a lot of chatter about their legit chances of winning a title, and how they weren’t even the best team in the Western Conference.

Fast forward to today, and they proved to be the best team in the league by a wide margin, which is why it was only right they got a little crazy with their celebration.

Unsurprisingly, the Nuggets locker room got a little wild, with even coach Mike Malone partaking in some Serbian-style dancing with Nikola Jokic’s older brothers.

Notably, Jokic didn’t look that excited or hyped; he just wanted to leave and head back to Serbia to get his well-deserved vacation started.

He’ll have to wait for a little longer before going home to be with his horses, as the Nuggets won’t have their championship parade until Thursday, but maybe he’ll loosen up a little and party like a champ that day.

The Nuggets had never won an NBA championship, and not many people believed they could do it this season.

They hit a bit of a wall at one point in the regular season, up to the point where Jokic wound up losing the MVP to Joel Embiid.

But at the end of the day, none of the chatter or even the individual awards meant anything.

All that matters is that they got the job done, and their names will forever be written in franchise and NBA history.
