Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme rejoins Kyle Meredith with…for For discussion of the band’s upcoming album, in times new romantheir first release since 2017.
Homme shares his approach to creating “music that fits all stereotypes” and delves into the concept of how our musical preferences evolve as adults, often embracing music we may have despised when we were younger. Homme also revealed that he’s basically making a soundtrack to his life, describing his current life as pretty crazy and how he’s dealing with the chaos it throws at him.
“You need to know when to look at someone and say, ‘Tell me the time, tell me the location, motherfucker,'” he explained. “I romanticize these moments, these are the ideals. In these moments, instead of defining your character, they reveal it.”
