Thick black smoke rose from the sky for miles around as a fire broke out at Germany’s largest theme park on Monday.

Police said firefighters were on scene and the fire was “under control” at the Parc de Europa in the town of Rust, near the French border.

“All visitors are currently leaving the park in an orderly manner,” police in the southwestern town of Offenburg said. “There is currently no information on the injured persons.”

The regional daily Badische Zeitung reported that the fires were centered on the park’s Spanish-themed section and an area known as the Magic World of Diamonds.

Europa-Park is a popular tourist destination, attracting more than 6 million visitors last year, mostly from Germany, France and Switzerland.

It has 16 regions themed based on different European countries and three regions based on fantasy settings. The park also hosts conventions and is a popular venue for events and television productions.
