Dave Grohl Joins Guns N’ Roses for “Paradise City” at Glastonbury

Dave Grohl’s name isn’t in the 2023 Glastonbury line-up, but the Foo Fighters frontman was seen all over Worthy Farm during the first two days of the UK festival. Following the Foo Fighters’ surprise performance on Friday, Grohl returned to the stage on Saturday with not one, but two unannounced cameos.

After hours of drumming with the Pretenders and Johnny Marr, Grohl put on his guitar and joined the closing act of Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City.” “You can never have too many guitars!” declares GN’R frontman Axl Rose when introducing Grohl.

Back in 2016, Grohl lent his throne to Ross after the GN’R frontman broke his leg ahead of the band’s reunion tour. The two bands have shared the stage several times in the years since, including at the 2021 BottleRock Festival, when organizers suspended “Paradise City” due to a curfew.

Grohl got a brief break from the Foo Fighters, but the tour machine is scheduled to be back up and running starting next month (Get Tickets here).Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses will play a new stop at North American stadiums starting in August (get tickets here).
