Lana Del Rey was 30 minutes late to a show at Glastonbury on Saturday, a delay she attributed to her hair “taking too long”.
“I’m too late, I’m going to catch this show today,” Del Rey told the audience at the start of the show. “If they cut the power, I’m so sorry, my hair takes a long time to do.” . I love you to death, let’s keep going with the plan. “
Eventually, Del Rey completed about two-thirds of her performance, and Glastonbury organizers actually cut the power during her performance of “Video Games”. She briefly protested the move, walking into the crowd and singing a cappella before exiting the stage surrounded by security.
Glastonbury is one of Del Rey’s first live performances in four years and supports her latest album, Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean Drive?. She has also performed at festivals including the Quebec Festival, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Outside Lands in San Francisco, and the All Things Go Festival in Columbia, Maryland.tickets available here.
