Jets Tight End Makes His Thoughts Clear About Dalvin Cook Rumor

Good teams are always looking for ways to get better, and the New York Jets are currently an excellent team.

That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’ve been tied with a potential move for Dalvin Cook, who was recently released by the Minnesota Vikings.

Even so, the Jets are already set for the future with star RB Breece Hall leading the way, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t enough touches available in their new-look offense.

That’s why Jets TE Tyler Conklin made it loud and clear that the team would welcome Cook with open arms, citing that they want to make room for anyone who could help them win a Super Bowl:

“There’s plenty of room. We’ve got room for whoever wants to come help us win a Super Bowl,” Conklin said, via NFL.com. “Me and Dalvin were basically lockermates my first couple years (in Minnesota), and he was an awesome guy. I reached out to him because I was just curious, like are the rumors true? Is this actually possible?”

That’s the kind of aggressive, team-first mindset that has paid off multiple times in the past, and the Jets must definitely make the most of this title window while it’s still open.

Cook has struggled with injuries throughout the course of his career, but he’s also been one of the most dominant and explosive backs in the game when he’s been healthy.

Having him back up Hall would give the jets a luxury insurance policy and one of the most disruptive RB tandems in the game, and he shouldn’t demand steep pay at this point in his career.

Of course, they’ll have to compete with the likes of the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins, who’ve also been tied with a potential move for Cook, but the Jets could still give him a better shot at a championship.
