Lamar Jackson’s wish was granted during the offseason, receiving a contract extension from the Baltimore Ravens.

He is now tied to the Ravens for the next five years and will enter the 2023 season with his head held high.

With this significant of investment, the Ravens will be looking for a nice return.

In a recent segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, Emmanuel Acho outlined his expectations for Jackson, given his supporting cast.

“We haven’t seen a team with five first-round picks at wide receiver,” Acho said.

As he indicates, this is the best supporting cast that Jackson has been given throughout his career.

Jackson’s receiving corps includes Rashod Bateman, Zay Flowers, Nelson Agholor, Laquon Treadwell, and Odell Beckham Jr.

He also has Mark Andrews to throw to, who has established himself as one of the league’s best receiving tight ends.

With these options in mind, Acho believes that “Lamar is out of excuses.”

Many are expecting Jackson to have an incredibly productive season this year, especially with all of the talent surrounding him.

Will he be able to live up to these expectations?

Jackson won the league’s MVP award in 2019 when he compiled 3,127 passing yards, 1,206 rushing yards, and 43 total touchdowns.

While his rushing prowess is among the league’s best, Jackson’s ability to throw the ball efficiently has been, at times, called into question.

With a new OC at the helm, and all of the talented receivers to throw to, however, Jackson will have a great opportunity to silence his doubters this year.
